Biography

Gilbert Ndayambaje is a Rwandan agronomist, researcher, fashion designer, and community development practitioner. He is currently serving as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Gisagara District, Mamba Sector, where he supports residents of Ruhuha IDP Model Village through community led development initiatives.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Rwanda. Gilbert has served as Plantation Manager at J.S Agriculture Import and Export Company Ltd, managing chili production for export. He has also contributed to several research and data collection projects, including Green Gicumbi, Enabel PRISM 2, HPA in Nyamasheke, and studies on Senna spectabilis in Bugesera, focusing on gender assessment, baseline studies, and agricultural development.

Gilbert is the co-founder of HingAMAFARANGA Rwanda, an initiative that promotes monetizing farming by equipping farmers and students with agribusiness knowledge, practical training, and income focused agricultural solutions. He also shares expertise through radio programs and public engagement.

Beyond agriculture, he is passionate about fashion design. Trained from a young age and later certified in tailoring, he has facilitated youth training, mentoring young designers to achieve professional growth.

Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English, and Chinese, Gilbert combines leadership, research, and entrepreneurship skills to empower communities. He is committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and inclusive development across Rwanda.
