Jean Damascene Ndayisabye was born in Rwanda. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies in the Department of Emergency and Disaster Management from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali. During his university studies, he did part-time Volunteer at the Kicukiro sector specifically Ngoma Cell for a period of one year. He has participated in the communities of the Kicukiro Sector looked at the people living in high-risk zones and educated them on the impact met when the disasters come. After graduating, he worked a professional internship in Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authorities (RURA). From this, he learned to plan, and manage the operation of the Water and Sanitation Unit, for both current as well as future mission requirements for water, environment, and sanitation, and learned how to interact with people, also developed practical skills as well as communication and personal skills. He is passionate about listening and caring for people in need. He believes that the greatest thing that can make someone proud is to help communities without waiting for a reward.
