Biography
Ronewa Ndou, from the beautiful Shirley Village at Elim in Limpopo, South Africa holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from North West University. Ronewa is driven by a passion to create lasting change in rural communities, where she believes the journey to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) begins.
Her focus areas as a professional social worker include child protection, substance abuse, single fatherhood, and youth empowerment, with a particular emphasis on addressing social issues that disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. Ronewa’s field experience in a hospital setting honed her skills in providing critical awareness on issues such as GBV, statutory rape, and unsafe sexual practices, while also offering psychosocial support and aftercare planning to patients and their families.
As a compassionate and resilient advocate, Ronewa has developed a unique ability to connect with communities and facilitate access to essential services. Her experience has taught her the importance of empathy, adaptability, and creative problem-solving in driving meaningful change.
As a CorpsAfrica/South Africa Volunteer, Ronewa is eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to build stronger, more resilient communities, where every individual can thrive.
