Biography

Odile Niyifasha holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication, which has equipped her with strong skills in storytelling, advocacy, and public engagement. With a passion for communication and community service, she has dedicated her career to initiatives that empower vulnerable groups and promote sustainable development.

Odile previously served as the Communication Manager at AVEGA Agahozo, where she gained broad experience in organisational programs, awareness campaigns, and amplifying the voices of widows and survivors. She has also contributed to Life School Rwanda, a community-based initiative in Bugesera District, supporting students to embrace education as a pathway to opportunity and empowerment.

Her personal journey has been one of resilience and compassion. Having faced challenges in her early life, Odile developed a strong commitment to helping others overcome barriers and achieve their potential. One of her greatest aspirations is to establish an orphanage that provides care, education, and hope for vulnerable children.

Odile is proud to contribute to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of quality education, reduced inequalities, gender equality, and poverty reduction. She is motivated to serve rural communities, preserve cultural values, and inspire youth to embrace their identity and potential. As she continues her journey, she remains committed to growth, service, and creating a lasting positive impact on society.
