Biography

Amadou Njuke is a committed rural development practitioner with extensive experience in community mobilization, leadership, and grassroots development. He pursued his academic studies at the Rural Development Institute (RDI), where he acquired in-depth knowledge of rural livelihoods, sustainable development strategies, and participatory development approaches. His studies at RDI equipped him with practical skills in project planning, capacity building, teamwork, and community empowerment, providing a strong foundation for his professional career.

Following his academic career Amadou Njuke dedicated seven years of professional service to the Nova Scotia Gamba Association, working as a Team Coach across two key regions. He served in the North Bank Region (NBR) for three years (2017–2020), where he supported community outreach and sensitization initiatives, trained school peer health education programs, strengthened organizational structures, and guided members in implementing development-focused activities. His leadership during this period contributed to improved coordination, motivation, and community participation.

Amadou later continued his work in the Lower River Region (LRR) for five years (2020–2024), further expanding his impact by mentoring teams, facilitating training sessions, and promoting collaboration among community members. As a Team Coach, he played a key role in monitoring peer health school programs, addressing challenges, and encouraging inclusive participation, particularly among youth and community leaders.

Throughout his career, Amadou Njuke has been recognized for his dedication, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse groups. His professional journey reflects a strong balance between academic knowledge and practical field experience. He remains passionate about rural development, community resilience, and sustainable livelihoods, and continues to make meaningful contributions to community-based development initiatives.
