Biography
Alice Nyirumuringa holds an Advanced Diploma in Midwifery from the University of Rwanda. She is a dedicated and compassionate midwife with hands-on experience in maternal and child health, family planning, neonatology, and community outreach, and she is deeply committed to supporting women and families in vulnerable settings.
Alice gained practical experience as an intern midwife at Rwanda Military Hospital and MUHOZA Health Center, where she delivered antenatal, labor, postnatal, and neonatology services, provided counseling on family planning, and promoted reproductive health in both clinical and community settings. She also served as the Maternal and Child Health Program Manager at the Rwanda Midwifery Student Association, where she led outreach programs, spearheaded advocacy campaigns, trained fellow students on reproduct.
Currently, Alice is serving as a CorpsAfrica/Rwanda Volunteer in Huye District, Ruhashya Sector, Karama Cell, and Rukubiro Village. She is passionate about facilitating communities achieve sustainable development by supporting young people, particularly women, to create job opportunities and empowering elders to graduate from poverty. Her vision is to foster thriving communities through improved health, empowerment, and inclusive growth.
