Eustache Nzamukorera
Volunteer
Biography

Eustache Nzamukorera is an Applied Statistics graduate (Economics option) from the University of Rwanda with a passion for bottom-up, community-led development. He spent one year serving as a CorpsAfrica/Rwanda Volunteer in Nyamutuku Village, Nyamata Cell, Kageyo Sector, Ngororero District, in Rwanda’s Western Province, where he worked closely with community members to advance sustainable, locally led initiatives. His work centered on empowering youth, improving community hygiene and fostering inclusivity, most notably through facilitating a coffee farming and trading project that benefited 70 individuals, reducing youth unemployment, raising local incomes and building valuable skills in coffee cultivation.

His commitment to community-led development also took him beyond Rwanda’s borders. He was selected as an exchange volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya. He spent 60 days learning the language and culture of Kenya. After that, he is certified in CorpsAfrica’s core methodologies: Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), Human-Centered Design (HCD), and Community-Led Development (CLD). He applies these approaches to help communities drive their own sustainable progress.

Building on this foundation, Eustache is currently serving a one-year term as an Exchange Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, based in Emutsalwa Sub-location, Emushengeli Location, Luanda Sub-county, Vihiga County, in Kenya’s Western Region. He combines data-driven analytical thinking with hands-on community engagement, drawing on a background that bridges statistical analysis, economic principles, and grassroots project implementation, bringing an evidence-based, community-owned approach to every initiative he supports.
