Brett Odom is co-founder and Managing Director of Azimuth Partners LLC (“Azimuth”). With more than two decades of leadership experience, he has developed a unique blend of operational and technical expertise, financial acumen, and strategic insight. As Chief Financial Officer of several private equity owned, INC 500 high growth companies, he has negotiated and closed nearly $1 billion in debt and equity transactions, managed a highly levered company through a turnaround and cash flow crisis, and delivered 3x revenue and 7x EBITDA growth as an executive with P&L accountability for a company with global operations. He has led companies through the process of growing from $10 million to nearly $500 million in revenues, developing internal infrastructure, processes and controls while sourcing capital, building high performance teams, negotiating joint venture partnerships, and engineering recapitalizations and successful exits for investors. As a consultant, Mr. Odom assists clients with addressing the strategic, financial, technical, and operational challenges that occur during periods of intense transformation. With a unique skillset that includes a deep understanding of information technology and data science along with strategic and operational finance, he specializes in helping clients leverage technology to support and enhance core business processes, implement business intelligence and reporting infrastructure, and integrate systems to enhance efficiency and accountability. Mr. Odom holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the US Naval Academy, and certificates in data science and machine learning. Professional credentials include Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He is a US Navy veteran with combat experience flying the F/A-18 Hornet, and a graduate of the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun).
