Biography

Whitney Awino Onyango is a graduate of Egerton University with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management and a certified Environmental Impact Assessment expert. She has experience in community development, environmental conservation, gender equality programming, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement through professional and volunteer roles. Her work has included supporting initiatives focused on girls’ education, child protection, women’s empowerment, and community resilience, including experience with Plan International.

Passionate about wildlife conservation, renewable energy, and sustainable community development, Whitney believes in the power of communities to drive their own development. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, she is excited to learn from community members, build meaningful relationships, and support locally led solutions that create lasting impact.
