Biography
Muvandimwe Jean Pierre is a dedicated youth leader, community development practitioner, and education who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies obtained in 2018 from the University of Rwanda, College of Arts and Social Sciences (Huye Campus). In 2023, he further advanced his academic journey by earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Catholic University of Rwanda (Taba Campus), strengthening his commitment to education and youth empowerment.
Jean Pierre is a co-founder of Friends of Motherland Initiative Ubumuntu, an organization focused on protecting the rights of vulnerable children and supporting their education by ensuring access to basic needs. His passion for youth development also extends into sports; he holds a Black Belt in Karate and co-founded Motherland Karate Academy in 2021 to promote discipline, self-confidence, and physical well-being among young people.
From 2021 to 2026, Jean Pierre served as the Sector Youth Coordinator in Nyanza Sector, Gisagara District, where he played a key role in empowering youth to turn their aspirations into reality through leadership and development initiatives. Since 2022, he has also been serving as a representative of the Gisagara Youth Empowerment Cooperative, an initiative focused on environmental management and sustainable development, particularly through nursery bed establishment.
In addition, Jean Pierre served as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer during Cohort 5 and Cohort 6 (2023–2025) at Taba Site, Bukomeye Cell, Mukura Sector in Huye District, where he worked closely with communities to implement locally driven development solutions. Currently, he serves as a Volunteer Liaison at CorpsAfrica/Rwanda in Nyanza District, continuing his mission of supporting volunteers and strengthening community impact.
Jean Pierre is deeply committed to community transformation and believes that his engagement with CorpsAfrica has empowered him to become a catalyst for sustainable development and positive change in society.
