Biography

Awa holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from ISM in Dakar and a Bachelor’s degree in Economic and Business Law, combining legal rigour with HR strategy. With +7 years’s experience in the professional world; she began her career at a consultancy and accountancy firm, where she developed skills in administrative staff management, payroll and employment law. Her time at Grant Thornton Senegal enabled her to strengthen her expertise in the operational management of human resources and the use of ERP tools.

Subsequently, as an HR Officer at Medical RH, she took on a generalist role, overseeing key activities such as recruitment, performance management, personnel administration and industrial relations.

Currently, she holds the role of HR and Admin Officer at CorpsAfrica Senegal, where she actively contributes to organisational development and the well-being of staff. Driven by a genuine passion for people, Awa is also involved in the voluntary sector. She served as communications officer for a social welfare organisation, before taking charge of initiatives related to early childhood care for orphans, thereby strengthening her commitment to humanitarian causes.

Outside of her professional life, Awa has a passion for video games, the world of anime / mangas, and basketball – striking a balance between virtual imagination and real-world engagement.
