Biography
Théodore Kodjo PREIRA is a dedicated community development professional specializing in the coordination of high-impact humanitarian and development projects. Currently a Project Coordinator with CorpsAfrica/Senegal, he supports teams of volunteers deployed in rural areas in the design and implementation of sustainable solutions, working closely with communities, local authorities, and technical partners.
With diverse experience, he has held Training Support roles, providing logistical and pedagogical support for training programs, as well as Co-coordinator of the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) and Rift Valley Fever (RVF) humanitarian projects, where he contributed to the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of structuring community initiatives.
In his current role, he oversees the technical, logistical, and human resources aspects of projects, while also facilitating resource mobilization and stakeholder coordination. He has mastered innovative approaches such as Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which he uses to co-create solutions with communities adapted to their realities and sustainable over time.
Since 2021, Théodore has also been developing an entrepreneurial approach focused on value creation and economic empowerment. He is the founder of the digital communication agency Emmaüs Digital & Print, through which he supports local businesses, organizations, and initiatives in their visibility, communication strategy, and digital positioning. In parallel, he is involved in pig farming, with the ambition of structuring a profitable and sustainable agricultural activity, thereby contributing to food security and local income generation.
Alongside his professional commitments, Théodore plays an active role in civil society. He is currently the Regional Commissioner for Scouts in charge of partnerships, where he develops strategic collaborations and mobilizes resources to support educational and civic initiatives. He is also the Partnership and Protocol Officer for the Saint Paul Parish in Grand Yoff, contributing to the organization of major events and strengthening institutional relationships.
Having graduated in project management from the Higher School of Project Management (ESMP), he combines academic rigor and field experience to promote youth employability, women’s empowerment and participatory local development.
A scout since 2003, Théodore has coordinated several community initiatives in Dakar, particularly in the areas of the environment, child protection, and peacebuilding. His leadership, organizational skills, and ability to bring people together make him a dynamic player in sustainable development in Senegal.
Driven by a strong desire for social impact, he works daily to create local economic opportunities, strengthen community capacity, and ensure the sustainability of development projects.
