Biography

Diana Rashida Rashid is a community-led development practitioner, social entrepreneur, and second-time CorpsAfrica Volunteer committed to grassroots-led change across Africa. She is a CorpsAfrica/Ghana alumna (2023–2024) and currently serves as a CorpsAfrica/Gambia Cohort 3 exchange volunteer, deployed to Kerr Gibel in the Central River Region.

As a CorpsAfrica/Ghana Volunteer, she facilitated the construction of a 5-sided pavilion that currently serves 2,868 locals, providing a safe, dignified, spacious place for events and economic activities.
Diana brings multidisciplinary experience in community development, project management, hospitality, and social enterprise. She has worked with organizations such as Kumasi Hive, the Mastercard Impact Building, UAC (KNUST), and Grandhedge International, supporting community-driven initiatives focused on youth empowerment, livelihoods, and local capacity building.

She is the founder of PreSERVE Foods, a social enterprise addressing post-harvest losses and promoting improved nutrition through value-added food processing. Through the Mastercard Foundation Alumni Start-up Funds (FAST), her dream of starting PreSERVE Foods became a reality. She is also a co-founder of Perculiar AI, reflecting her interest in innovation and technology for social impact.

Beyond entrepreneurship, Diana volunteered as a mentor with the Mastercard Foundation Baobab platform Mentorship Programme from 2023 to 2024, supporting young people in their personal and professional development. With a background in Culture and Tourism from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and hands-on volunteer experience in both Ghana and The Gambia, Diana is passionate about cultural exchange, sustainable development, and empowering communities to design lasting solutions.
