Bazela Rivombo is an emerging development practitioner passionate about fostering social and economic progress in underprivileged communities. She holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Population Studies from the University of the Western Cape and a Bachelor of Social Science in Development Studies from North-West University. Bazela’s academic journey focused on applied statistics, demographic analysis, rural and urban development, development planning, and research methods, equipping her with robust analytical skills. Her research explored pressing issues such as youth unemployment and access to essential services by female-headed households in South Africa.
Her professional journey includes roles as a Junior Facilitator at the University of the Western Cape, where she developed skills in workshop facilitation, mentoring, and community engagement. Additionally, her volunteer work with UNICEF South Africa NWU Mafikeng Campus Club has allowed her to advocate for child and youth development and participate in initiatives that promote social equity.
Driven by curiosity and a passion for humanity, Bazela’s work is rooted in creating inclusive solutions for communities. Her commitment to fostering development, particularly in rural and underserved areas, motivated her to join CorpsAfrica. She views the program as a platform to enhance her skills in participatory development, engage meaningfully with communities, and contribute to building sustainable futures.
