Biography
Chrysante Rwasa holds a bachelor‘s degree in Agroforestry from the University of Rwanda. He is passionate about his country and community development, and he has dedicated his efforts to working closely with local populations /communities in various regions of Rwanda.
He has collaborated with communities in the northern province, Musanze district, Kinigi sector, where he educated residents on how to prevent malnutrition and stunting, especially during the resettlement process into the model villages.
He also worked with the IRS (Indoor Residual Spraying) from the Ministry of Health in malaria prevention programs. In Huye district, Kigoma sector, he trained communities (abajyanama bubuzima ) on how to properly apply mosquito-killing insecticides and monitored the quality of spraying. He supervised the operation. Similarly, in the Nyanza district, Busoro sector, he conducted training to empower residents in effective mosquito control practice, like what he did in Huye district.
These experiences deepened his passion for working with people, as he found inspiration and encouragement in their resilience and openness. Currently, he continues to collaborate with communities in the northern province, Gicumbi district, facilitating, supporting initiatives aimed at poverty reduction, improved health, food security, and sustainable development in general, ensuring that communities actively participate in shaping their future through approaches like CLD(community-led development ), ABCD(asset-based community development ), and HCD (human-centered design).
