Biography

Tizta Semayat is a Computer Science graduate and community development enthusiast with experience in teaching, IT leadership, and volunteering. Her journey reflects a meaningful path from being a beneficiary of the CorpsAfrica Women Empowerment Program to becoming a CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia Volunteer.

She began her professional journey as an IT instructor and later served as an IT Department Head, where she developed strong skills in teaching, leadership, facilitation, problem-solving, and teamwork. Her experience as a beneficiary of the CorpsAfrica Women Empowerment Program inspired her to engage more deeply in community development and eventually become a Volunteer herself.

She is currently serving as a CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia Volunteer, working closely with rural communities to understand local needs, identify community assets, engage youth, and support community-led development. With a passion for technology and inclusive development, she is particularly interested in exploring practical digital solutions that can create opportunities for rural youth and communities.

From beneficiary to a Volunteer, her journey reflects her commitment to learning, serving, and creating meaningful change within her community.
