Biography
Samuel Sinumvayabo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a focus on Biotechnology from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Samuel has shown a strong commitment to improving public health, community development, and education in underserved areas of Rwanda.
In addition to his formal education, Samuel completed an internship at Nkanka Health Centre in Rusizi District in 2025, where he gained valuable hands-on experience in community health outreach, laboratory diagnostics, and nutritional assessments. He also successfully completed the UVU Bio Training Programme, equipping him with key technical and laboratory skills relevant to public health and biotechnology.
Samuel’s dedication to continuous learning is demonstrated through his attainment of a Microsoft Certified Educator credential in 2021 and participation in an extra-academic English course in 2023, further strengthening his communication and instructional skills.
His passion for service led him to complete the Pre-Service Training (PST) with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda, where he developed skills in grassroots engagement in Asset based Community led Development (ABCD), Human Centered Design (HCD) and sustainable development. He is particularly motivated by the power of youth-led initiatives to transform communities and sees business and social communication as powerful tools to inspire behavioral change, culture exchange, and foster economic resilience.
Samuel is proud to contribute toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the areas of quality education (SDG 4), good health and well-being (SDG 3), and zero hunger (SDG 2). He believes that impactful service requires humility, cultural sensitivity, and a willingness to learn from others.
