Biography

Kone Tshifhiwa was born and raised in Itsani Village, Thohoyandou, in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. During high school, she was an active member of the Peace Club, where she eventually served as Chairperson. She pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Development at the University of Venda.

In her final year of study, she volunteered for four months with the Department of Social Development as a Community Development Practitioner. Kone completed her degree in 2019 and graduated virtually the following year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Determined to achieve more, she enrolled for an Honors Degree in Psychology with the University of South Africa (UNISA), which she completed in 2024. She is currently awaiting graduation due to outstanding fees.

Kone has gained two years of hands-on experience as a Young Creative with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, where she also attended a Personal Mastery Workshop and received a Certificate of Attendance. She is currently serving as a CorpsAfrica/South Africa Cohort 2 Volunteer, where she is committed to applying her skills and knowledge to support and empower her host community.
