Biography

Tumusiime Angella is a community development and social impact professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration and experience spanning community-led development, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and youth empowerment across Uganda and Rwanda.

She has worked with diverse stakeholders, including youth groups, women’s associations, farmer groups, volunteers, and development partners, supporting initiatives in entrepreneurship, livelihoods, nutrition, social and behavior change, and sustainable community development. Through her work with Challenges under the Youth to Work Program, she contributed to the growth of small and medium enterprises through market research and business improvement strategies.

As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer and Exchange Volunteer in the Northern province of Rwanda (Gicumbi), she supported youth-led initiatives that created economic opportunities through horticulture, livestock farming, bakery enterprises, savings groups, and other income-generating activities. She also facilitated community-driven interventions in nutrition, environmental conservation, women’s economic empowerment, and adolescent development.

Currently serving as a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda, she supports data analysis, program learning, and impact measurement to strengthen evidence-based decision-making.

Angella brings strong skills in leadership, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, cross-cultural collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and community mobilization. She is passionate about empowering communities to identify and leverage their own assets to create sustainable change.
