Biography
Placide Tuyisenge pursued his education at the University of Rwanda, where he successfully completed an Advanced Diploma in General Nursing. After passing the Rwanda National Licensing Examination, he became a Registered Nurse. To strengthen his professional capacity, he also obtained a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate from CHUK during his internship period.
Placide has demonstrated both academic dedication and a passion for community service. In 2022, he served as a Teaching Assistant Volunteer with Inspire, Educate, and Empower Rwanda (IEE), a non-profit organization. His work with youth from underserved families and communities inspired him to continue serving vulnerable populations with empathy, compassion, and holistic care.
As a healthcare provider, Placide is motivated to support people suffering from different life conditions and strives to facilitate underserved communities in their journey toward better health and improved livelihoods. He is particularly inspired by community-driven approaches that empower people to rise from poverty.
