Biography

Umutesi Marguerite is a native of Rwanda. From an early age, she envisioned herself growing into a woman who could inspire others through hard work and determination. She pursued her studies at Mount Kenya University, where she built a strong academic foundation that shaped her professional journey.

Marguerite gained practical experience in customer care through an internship at a bank, where she learned the importance of service, communication, and building trust with clients. Her ability to connect with people became a cornerstone of her growth, both personally and professionally.

In addition to her academic and internship experience, she dedicated three years to running her own business. This not only strengthened her entrepreneurial skills but also gave her resilience, creativity, and confidence in navigating challenges.

Today, Marguerite is proudly serving as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Kinigi, Musanze District. In this role, she is committed to working closely with local communities, supporting development initiatives, and empowering people to take ownership of creating sustainable solutions.

Looking ahead, Marguerite dreams of contributing to women’s empowerment and youth development, particularly in the areas of financial inclusion and entrepreneurship. She believes in creating opportunities that allow others to thrive and build better futures for themselves.

Her journey is a testament to perseverance, purpose, and the belief that one person’s effort can inspire lasting change.
