Biography

Clarisse Umutoniwase holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Geography for Secondary Education from the University of Rwanda, Nyagatare Campus. Beyond her academic background, she has always been passionate about leadership and community service.

Clarisse previously served as a Children’s Leader at the sector level in Shyogwe, Muhanga District, where she worked closely with the community to support and empower young people. Her spirit of volunteerism began early—while in secondary school at Frères Maristes Save, she actively participated in humanitarian activities as a member of the Red Cross. These experiences nurtured her commitment to service, resilience, and community development.
Clarisse deeply enjoys discovering new cultures and connecting with diverse people, which strengthens her commitment to community integration and sustainable development.
