Biography

Uwineza Gratia holds an Advanced Diploma in Midwifery from the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences. During her university studies, she completed academic internships at Kabgayi District Hospital, Kabutare District Hospital, and Nyamata Level II Teaching Hospital.Before joining CorpsAfrica, Gratia was an active member of the Rwanda Red Cross. She has also participated in various trainings and conferences, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Global Health Training, and the Leadership and Personal Growth Movement. Additionally, she gained experience in data entry using openMRS (a medical record system) at Gihara Health Center in Kamonyi District.Gratia is a registered midwife who is passionate about listening to people’s needs and is deeply committed to helping others achieve happier, more fulfilling lives. She believes that the greatest source of happiness comes from working together to help individuals reach their goals.She sees being a CorpsAfrica Volunteer as an opportunity to fulfill her dream of serving the community, using approaches such as Community-Led Development, Human-Centered Design, and Asset-Based Community Development.
