Help Liz reach the finish line in the Abbott Race!
On November 2nd, 2019, CorpsAfrica's Founder Liz Fanning will run in the famous Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K in NYC with the goal of supporting the amazing CorpsAfrica Volunteers. Can you help Liz reach her $4,000 goal?

Note from Liz:

Hello!

A friend recently challenged me to join her for a 5K race in New York City on November 2 and shockingly, I accepted—my first-ever race. Five kilometers (about 3 miles) might not sound like much to you, but when I started running last summer, I could barely make it half a mile without collapsing. Now I’m up to two miles and excited to get to three, and beyond.

I hope you will cheer me on by supporting my fundraising goal of $4,000, which will provide tangible support to the amazing CorpsAfrica Volunteers that inspire me every day and the hard-working people in the rural African villages where they serve. Those of you who have done these kind of fundraisers before know that every dollar—whether $5 or $500—quickly adds up, and before you know it we’ll cross the finish line.

As I train, and run the "big" race on November 2nd, know your support will keep me fueled. And if you’d like to run with me or create your own fundraiser for CorpsAfrica, please reach out to me at lfanning@corpsafrica.org. Whether in spirit or on the race course, it will help to have you by my side.

Many, many thanks,
Liz

  • promoting the professional and personal development of young Africans. This past year, we received over 1,600 applications for around 70 spots.
  • inspiring a strong pan-African community and network of public service.
  • connecting rural areas to the vast resources and innovations of diverse NGO partners.
  • building the capacity of rural villages to create self-sufficiency in every sector.
