From CorpsAfrica Volunteers
"My experience with CorpsAfrica will shape my future in more ways than I can mention. First of all, it has enhanced my professional skills which are going to be very useful in my future career endeavors. Second, it has made me appreciate the importance of building lasting work relationships with people as human resources are the best assets that everyone has in the development of a substantial future."

"CorpsAfrica provided me with an incredible training that helped me integrate into my community. The training gave me the skills to identify needs in the village, and to address these needs through a project."

"I have learned a lot about less-privileged communities. I lived there [in the community] and now when I work with other organizations that facilitate community development projects, I'll have better knowledge because I have experienced it all."

"As a former Volunteer, CorpsAfrica was a life-changing experience for me. It gave me the opportunity to discover new places, new friends, and new family. CorpAfrica also gave my community the opportunity to change their own lives and develop their village through the implementation of a social project."

"I am proud of how much I have grown and changed. I am now a more complete human being having living and interacted with people who are less fortunate than me. I am more appreciative of what I have and I have had a spirit of giving back instilled in me. CorpsAfrica has changed my life for the better."

"CorpsAfrica is a great opportunity for the young people to help their own home communities as well as fellow African country communities. It thereby helps in facilitating and assessing community needs and helps in finding solutions that help both a volunteer to gain skills and knowledge through participating all sorts of community engagement. It also motivates the community in finding their own solutions to the challenges by using the local available resources including the human resource. It is a great move of sharing cultural backgrounds, meeting new friends and of course having fun through its exchange program."

"I am a member of Rotary International and am leading a project to build an irrigation aqueduct in my former Peace Corps village in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains. We have engaged CorpsAfrica to provide the "boots on the ground" support in the village to help coordinate and oversee the project. CorpsAfrica Volunteers Hamza Aboubaigi (second from left in first photo) and Mustafa Essalai (on right, in red) have been instrumental in developing the plan for the project. While I previously lived in the same village 20 years ago, I would not have identified the criteria for the project as Hamza and Mustafa were able to figure out shortly after arriving on site. Our success will be CorpsAfrica's success (inshallah!)."

“The CorpsAfrica experience will build character, leadership, and tenacity among its Fellows and bring focus and commitment to critical development challenges in Morocco and eventually across all of Africa. It will give our youth the opportunity to truly own their own future – to not just be spectators on the sideline, but rather to actively participate and work together to improve the lives of their fellow citizens. Richard Holbrooke spent a lifetime exemplifying the values that CorpsAfrica embodies. And for this reason, I am so extremely proud to be a part of this great effort in his memory.”

"I am proud to say that I'm a monthly donor for CorpsAfrica. I donate because serving in the Peace Corps was the best decision I ever made. Ugandans would always ask me how they could be Peace Corps Volunteers too and I would hate to tell them, "you can't, you're not an American." CorpsAfrica's Pay it Forward Campaign gives me the opportunity to share that experience with young leaders across Africa and sustainably support long-lasting and impactful change. I strongly urge every RPCV to support CorpsAfrica and pay their service forward."

"CorpsAfrica has a carefully considered, well-reasoned, and evidence-based approach for how to create positive, sustainable development in parts of the world where the need is most significant. Their priority on local partnerships and the realities of economic development makes them an effective venue for supporting human flourishing in Africa."

"CorpsAfrica is an organization that strives to meet a crucial need. CorpsAfrica operates from a belief that these countries and their citizens do not need the help of foreign aid or personnel to achieve their goals but that these countries already have the capable talent and simply need connection and access to resources. CorpsAfrica fosters dignified relationships and provides the skilled youth an opportunity to serve their country. CorpsAfrica's ambitious goals and skilled staff have the capability of making a strong and lasting impact to make this world a better place."
