We’re excited to share that CorpsAfrica is attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York! Throughout UNGA week, we spotlight CorpsAfrica Volunteers as the leading example of Community-Led Development, showcasing how young African leaders are driving transformative change from within their communities.
CorpsAfrica was invited to join Foreign Policy’s Her Power Forum for the panel discussion From Service to Systems Change: Women Leading Africa’s Future, highlighting how women are leading economic transformation in rural Africa. We also hosted a Conversation Corner at Devex IMPACT HOUSE. Partnering with Devex creates opportunities to engage in interactive workshops, connect with changemakers, and expand CorpsAfrica’s global network of partners.
CorpsAfrica participated in the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2025 Annual Meeting, reaffirming our CGI Commitments to Action. We are proud to join global leaders and contribute to a critical CGI working group that is making a global impact.

From Service to Systems Change: Women Leading Africa’s Future
CorpsAfrica was honored to join the Foreign Policy Her Power Forum at UNGA80, where global leaders, governments, and civil society gathered to accelerate progress on SDG 5: Gender Equality. Our panel highlighted how young women are transforming rural African communities, leading economic resilience, driving local entrepreneurship, and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
CorpsAfrica Founder & CEO Liz Fanning, Rwanda Country Director, Eustochie Sezibera, and Malawi Alumni Chisomo Favour Kamlopa shared how young women are leading economic transformation in rural African communities, driving entrepreneurship, financial resilience, and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
Participating in this forum is a powerful reminder of the importance of highlighting CorpsAfrica’s work, empowering women, building leadership, and creating sustainable community-driven change across Africa.
2025 ANNUAL MEETING
We are proud to share that Liz Fanning, CorpsAfrica’s Founder and CEO, will participate in the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2025 Annual Meeting. Connect with the CorpsAfrica team, Liz, Eustochie Sezibera, and MK Richardson at CGI.
President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Clinton, and Dr. Chelsea Clinton will convene the Annual Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative on September 24-25, 2025, in New York City, bringing together leaders from business, government, and civil society for a meeting focused on what’s working and how we can bridge divides to solve our most urgent crises.
CorpsAfrica is honored to be part of this important gathering and to showcase how young African leaders are driving community-led development and lasting impact across the continent.
CorpsAfrica Conversation Corner
At this year’s Devex IMPACT HOUSE, CorpsAfrica will host a Conversation Corner. As the global development community comes together to exchange bold ideas and solutions, our booth will serve as a space to spotlight Community-Led Development and the role of young African leaders in shaping Africa’s future.
Strengthen local social infrastructure for a Post-ODA World
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. Now that the UN has recognized that two/thirds of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals can only be achieved at the community level, it is vital for MCLD and all Localistas to focus on the priority actions to build a strong, resilient local ecosystem for development.
To that end, MCLD and EPIC-Africa organized a discussion hosted by the Foundation for a Just Society. A group of 20 experts and leaders will came together with our panel panel — and many online — to identify actions we will each take to advance community-led development during the time of disruption global development.
