The Goat Farming Project aims to transition Mogopela A from subsistence livestock farming to commercial goat farming. The project will establish a sustainable goat farming cooperative using rotational grazing across 4–6 camps and diversified income streams from meat, milk, manure and breeding stock. The project will directly benefit 13 community members, including unemployed youth and local households. Its expected impact includes sustainable income generation, improved food security, youth employment, climate-smart livestock management skills, and stronger farming infrastructure.
