CorpsAfrica's Impact
At CorpsAfrica, every project is rooted in local ownership, driven by youth leadership, and built for long-term sustainability.
Founded in 2011 by a former Peace Corps Volunteer, CorpsAfrica builds on the Peace Corps’ legacy of service by offering a similar transformative experience, designed by and for emerging African leaders. Our mission is to empower young people to lead high-impact, community-driven development projects across a growing number of countries, creating lasting change from the inside out.

What Volunteers Do
CorpsAfrica Volunteers partner with local communities to implement small-scale, high-impact projects that are designed and led by community members themselves. Since 2013, Volunteers and rural communities have collaborated to identify, design, and bring to life over 800 projects, each rooted in the principles of local ownership, resilience, and collective action.

Support Our WOrk
CorpsAfrica addresses two of Africa’s most difficult challenges: creating opportunities for youth and helping rural communities overcome extreme poverty and build resilience. We recruit motivated volunteers to live and work in remote, low-income areas in their own countries. They collaborate with the community to design and implement small-scale projects that address their top priorities and by doing so gain the skills and experience that lay the foundation for personal and professional success.
CorpsAfrica trusts youth and rural communities to help each other.
