Project Overview

This project aims to strengthen the economic independence of young women in Tamgounssi, a community of 1,300 residents with a long tradition of weaving and tailoring. The project will provide intensive vocational training for 40 young women in advanced textile arts while helping the local cooperative improve its management systems, production structure, pricing, branding, and digital visibility. The project responds to a clear gap between rising market demand and the community’s limited production capacity. By investing in skills, equipment maintenance, resource purchasing, and continued training, the initiative will help young women become skilled earners, increase local production, and create stronger reasons for youth to stay and thrive in Tamgounssi.
