Nakaseeta Community Market Project is a community initiative to establish a centre of transactions for farmers and traders. The project addresses the challenge of high transport costs involved in community members having to move long distances to trade their products. This hinders especially women from participating in trade and economic development. Therefore, the community identified a location where they have started setting a market to conduct their business transactions. They have started collecting local materials for the construction and put together the plan for the local structure. People from neighboring villages will also use the market which will bring in revenue to the community. The project enhances entrepreneurship, trade and unity in the community.
CorpsAfrica addresses two of Africa’s most difficult challenges: engaging youth and helping rural communities overcome extreme poverty. We recruit and train motivated volunteers to live and work in rural, under-resourced areas in their own countries. They collaborate with the community to design and implement small-scale projects that address their top priorities and, by doing so, gain the skills and experience that lay the foundation for personal and professional success.
CorpsAfrica trusts youth and communities to help each other.
