CorpsAfrica Purple

CorpsAfrica Purple is an initiative that promotes the inclusion of people living with disabilities in community development efforts. Volunteers are trained to recognize and address issues faced by marginalized groups, providing feedback on social protection needs and working with development partners to share stories and advocate for inclusion. The initiative emphasizes the importance of considering people with disabilities as valuable assets in community development.

CorpsAfrica Purple Projects

CorpsAfrica Purple’s approach is rooted in the belief that initiatives focused on people with disabilities can be a catalyst for social and economic development in African communities. By empowering young Africans to take the lead in advocating for and supporting people with disabilities. By 2025, CorpsAfrica intends that the Volunteers will impact over 3,000 people with disabilities though their different interventions.

Support Our Work

CorpsAfrica addresses two of Africa’s most difficult challenges: creating opportunities for youth and helping rural communities overcome extreme poverty and build resilience. We recruit motivated volunteers to live and work in remote, low-income areas in their own countries. They collaborate with the community to design and implement small-scale projects that address their top priorities and by doing so gain the skills and experience that lay the foundation for personal and professional success.

CorpsAfrica trusts youth and rural communities to help each other.
