CorpsAfrica Purple is a new initiative that aims to position CorpsAfrica Volunteers as part of the solution for the full participation and inclusion of people living with disabilities in community development efforts in Africa and beyond. This low-cost initiative centers on projects and training from the lens of inclusion, so that Volunteers can learn to recognize and informatively approach issues such marginalized groups and vulnerable people at their CorpsAfrica sites. By living in rural communities, Volunteers can serve as a resource to the larger inclusion; they will liaise with Development Partners to collect and share stories of vulnerable groups as well as relay their needs on social protection (such as ID protection, mobility) and provide critical feedback on how patriarchy operates within their communities.
CorpsAfrica recognizes that people with disabilities deserve to be considered in all efforts to build the local development. They must be consider as part of the human assets of their communities.

Support Our Work
CorpsAfrica addresses two of Africa’s most difficult challenges: creating opportunities for youth and helping rural communities overcome extreme poverty and build resilience. We recruit motivated volunteers to live and work in remote, low-income areas in their own countries. They collaborate with the community to design and implement small-scale projects that address their top priorities and by doing so gain the skills and experience that lay the foundation for personal and professional success.
CorpsAfrica trusts youth and rural communities to help each other.
