CorpsAfrica’s Alumni Network will host Alumni Opportunity Fairs across all CorpsAfrica countries in June and July 2026.
These fairs are designed to connect graduating Volunteers and CorpsAfrica Alumni with meaningful employment and partnership opportunities across the development sector and beyond. CorpsAfrica Alumni bring valuable, hands-on experience in leadership, community engagement, and project implementation. The Opportunity Fair is a chance to connect Volunteer experience to meaningful employment and career opportunities.
At the fair, you will have the opportunity to:
- Engage directly with NGOs, recruiters, and partner organizations
- Explore job openings and professional pathways across sectors
- Gain insight into what employers are looking for through panel discussions
- Expand your professional network with peers and industry professionals
We encourage you to come prepared with your CV, be ready to engage with potential employers, and take full advantage of this opportunity.
Our 2026 Vision
Volunteering with CorpsAfrica is a powerful strategy for building practical, transferable experience. Volunteers gain hands-on skills in community engagement, project management, problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability, skills that are highly valued by employers. The Alumni Opportunity Fairs are a continuation of this journey, ensuring that this experience translates into tangible career opportunities as Volunteers and Alumni enter the next phase of their professional lives.
This year, we are significantly expanding the initiative to increase reach and impact:
- Increased Attendance: Inviting a higher volume of NGOs, recruiters, and partner organizations.
- Broader Inclusion: Opening participation to both graduating Volunteers and unemployed CorpsAfrica Alumni across countries.
- Stronger Partnerships: Moving beyond one-time engagement toward building long-term recruitment pipelines with partner organizations.
- Exhibition Session: Volunteers meet directly with invited NGOs and recruiters at dedicated organizational booths, exploring opportunities and building professional connections.
- Panel Discussion: A discussion featuring representatives from participating organizations, offering insight into hiring priorities and career pathways.
Looking Ahead
The Alumni Opportunity Fairs represent a key milestone in the CorpsAfrica journey, bridging service and professional transition while strengthening our growing network of CorpsAfrica Alumni across the continent. By creating intentional connections between trained, experienced Volunteers and potential employers, the 2026 edition will significantly expand opportunities for African youth and reinforce CorpsAfrica’s commitment to supporting them as they enter the workforce and move into the next phase of their professional lives.
