Kouadio Ettienkro is a community of about 3,000 people whose farmers depend heavily on rainfall for food production. The pitch identifies the absence of irrigation, falling agricultural yields, no dry-season production since 2015 and rural migration as major challenges.

The proposed project will establish an 1,800 m³ water reservoir, drip-irrigation system and one hectare of vegetable production. The goal is to provide 100 young people with access to irrigating water for vegetable production to improve their earning potential.

A reliable water source would enable year-round vegetable production, reduce dependence on rainfall and create more stable livelihood opportunities for young people. The project also proposes an inclusive management committee, monthly contributions and reinvestment of 40% of profits to support sustainability.
