The Mill of a Thousand Opportunities

Project Year 2026

Details

Project Budget:
2,587,100 FCFA

Project Budget (USD):
$4,570

Project Overview

The project proposes constructing and equipping a community mill, creating a management committee that includes women, and supporting local processing activities such as grain milling, peanut paste production and biochar production. The initiative aims to train at least 30 people and have the mill operational by the end of November 2026.

Residents would gain easier access to local agricultural processing, reducing time and physical labour while creating local income and employment opportunities. The mill would also serve neighbouring communities, generate revenue for a community savings fund and reuse agricultural residues for biochar production.

The project budget is 2,587,100 FCFA, comprising 599,000 FCFA in community contributions, 1,000,000 FCFA from CorpsAfrica and 988,100 FCFA from other partners.
