Water scarcity is the major challenge affecting the residents of Ticheli. This challenge impacts households and agriculture as most residents are farmers. It also impacts other economic activities. This project, Installation of Water Storage Facilities will address this challenge by storing water to be used during the dry season.
This project will contribute to global efforts to provide clean drinking water, aligning with SDG Goal 6. We have used Human-Centered Design tools, such as community mapping and asset inventory. The community has selected this project as the most feasible and impactful solution.
The objectives of the project are to provide a reliable water source for daily needs and agricultural activities, improve access to clean drinking water, and enhance resilience to water-related challenges. By focusing on these objectives, the project aims to create sustainable solutions for the community’s water needs.
CorpsAfrica addresses two of Africa’s most difficult challenges: engaging youth and helping rural communities overcome extreme poverty. We recruit and train motivated volunteers to live and work in rural, under-resourced areas in their own countries. They collaborate with the community to design and implement small-scale projects that address their top priorities and, by doing so, gain the skills and experience that lay the foundation for personal and professional success.
CorpsAfrica trusts youth and communities to help each other.
