Description

The project was designed to address the multifaceted challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Kyuso, which included the lack of essential assistive devices, unreliable income sources, and inadequate nutrition. These challenges had left PWDs largely dependent on caregivers, hampering their productivity and self-reliance while also affecting the overall economic development and prosperity of the area. Kelvin Mutuma, the Volunteer living in this community facilitated the project from ideation to implementation during his one year of service. Ensuring effective collaboration and smooth operations between Walkabout Foundation and the PWDs on the ground.
