Description

The Chilashie community has successfully constructed four waiting rooms at the local health center, improving access to healthcare for the surrounding population. Previously, patients—especially pregnant women and those recovering—had to travel long distances, limiting timely access to care.
The project directly benefits the local community, providing safe, well-ventilated, and easily accessible waiting spaces. With a total budget of 406,332 ETB, the community contributed 87,540 ETB, and an additional 70,792 ETB was donated by a community member. The new waiting rooms enhance maternal care, support patient recovery, and ensure healthcare is more readily available to all community members.
This project was facilitated by Yared Araya, in partnership with the Chilashie community, local health authorities, and CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia.
