The Youth-Led Brick Production Project in Dogoso Kebele, Jimma Zone aims to combat high youth unemployment and low household income. Through community consultations using Human-Centered Design and Asset-Based Community Development, residents chose brick production due to its local demand and manageable costs. The project will involve 22 youth beneficiaries who will form a production group, receive training, and start operations by June 2026. Spanning 12 weeks, with a budget of 507,650 ETB (25% community contribution), it aims to increase youth employment, improve access to quality bricks, and foster financial literacy, creating a self-sustaining enterprise that promotes local economic development.
