Muhammed L. Saidykhan is a seasoned and self-motivated Communications and Development Officer with over 10 years of professional experience. For the past twelve years his focus has been on tackling the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to end extreme poverty, fix climate change, and provide opportunities for young people and rural communities. Muhammed started his professional career with the Gambia Youth Empowerment Project under the National Youth Council as a Regional Program Officer, Muhammed’s key responsibility was raising awareness of irregular migration and sharing opportunities with rural youth. He played a central role in the launching of the “Tekkifii” Make It In The Gambia program funded by the European Union to fight the root causes of irregular migration and create employment for the youth. Before joining CorpsAfrica, He served as a Project Officer for United Purpose Sport for Development Project, where he used sport to address social issues and promote youth development and empowerment. Muhammed is also a sports journalist, and tour guide, and holds several volunteer positions in his community. His commitment and untiring passion have provided communities with radically inclusive opportunities and hope.
